Patsy Rodriguez

Patsy Silvas Rodriguez went to her heavenly home while surrounded by close family, March, 29, 2022.

Patsy was born July 17, 1935 to Clara and Gregorio Silvas in Fort Davis, Texas.

Patsy married Juan Rodriguez, November 16, 1950. Patsy never met a stranger, she would strike up a conversation with anyone and within the hour she would know every single detail.  She was loved by many.  Patsy loved to plan birthday parties for all her kids and eventually her grandkids.  She was also a master prankster and loved to make you laugh.  Her passion was to bake and cook. No one left her home hungry.  Patsy developed her baking skills while working at Prude Ranch preparing meals for large groups.  Patsy worked for many households and took care of many children in the Fort Davis area.

Patsy is preceded in death by parents, Clara and Gregorio Silvas, husband Juan Rodriguez, daughter Yolanda Jimenez, son Leroy Rodriguez, grandson Jimmy Jimenez.  Brothers Richard Silvas and Fidel Silvas, sisters Gloria Bustamante and Lenore Rodriguez, half-brother Pete Alvarado, half-sisters Genevieve Villarreal, Isabel Domingues, Ida Gonzales and Victorina Rivera.

Left to treasure her memory are son Johnny Rodriguez (Glenda), Odessa, Tx, daughters Lora Gonzales, Whitesboro, Tx, and Bonnie Hamilton, Fort Davis, Tx. Sister Lola Najar, Monahans, Tx  and brother Eddie Silvas (Linda), Midland, Tx.  11 grandkids, 12 great-grandkids, and 11 great-great-grandkids.

Services have been entrusted to Alpine Memorial Funeral Home in Alpine, Texas.
