Julieta A. Rodriguez, a life-long resident of Presidio, Texas, passed away peacefully at her home with her beloved family by her side on November 18, 2020. She was 90 years old.

Julieta was born on August 28, 1930, in Presidio to Alberto Armendariz and Luz Spencer Armendariz. She was one of 12 children and came from a large family. She later met and married Jose A. Rodriguez, and together they had five children.

Praying of the Most Holy Rosary was recited on Tuesday, November 24,, 2020, at Santa Teresa Catholic Church with Mass of Christian burial following. Julieta was laid to rest next to her husband at Desert Hills Cemetery with Father Miguel “Mike” Alcuino serving as funeral celebrant.

Those serving as pallbearers were Xavier Rodriguez, Jamie Rodriguez, Antonio Rodriguez, Roger Henjum, Enrique Rodriguez and Martin Licon.

Julieta was a housewife and mother first. But she also was manager of Aaronson Bros. clothing store for several years until her retirement. Juliet was known for her homemade cakes. Her cakes were always first to be raffled off during the church’s festival. She was a devoted Catholic, a loving mother and grandmother.

Preceding Julieta in death are her parents, her husband Jose A. Rodriguez and many beloved family members.

Those left to cherish and honor the beloved memory of Julieta are her five children, her daughter Julieta Henjum and husband Roger Henjum, son Antonio M. Rodriguez and wife Diane Rodriguez, daughter Edna Rodriguez, son Xavier Rodriguez and wife Angie Rodriguez and son Jamie Rodriguez and wife Ana Rodriguez; grandchildren Christina Hernandez, Enrique Martin Rodriguez, Sylvia Rodriguez, Leana Rodriguez, Erika Rodriguez and Kendra Carney; great-grandchildren Gabriela Rodriguez, Ximena Rodriguez, Xenia Rodriquez, Bella Carney, Ellie Carney and Charlotte Carney; her sisters Evanglina DiGuito, Morena Hinojos, Gloria Meyers, Laura Rohona and Rosa Pelton; and brothers Francisco Armendariz and Luis Armendariz.
