Wesley Roach of Alpine, Texas passed away on June 19, 2026, after a lengthy illness. He was 73 years old.
Wes was born January 23, 1953, in Big Lake, Texas to Jack H. Roach, Sr. and Mildred Newman Roach. He and his family moved to Alpine in 1963 where he attended the public schools, graduating from Alpine High School in 1972. He was one of the original "Roach boys" and was known for his mischievous nature and sense of adventure, both of which stayed with him throughout his life.
Wes married his high school sweetheart, Patty Bennack, in 1975. He served in the Air Force from 1976 to 1980, and after beginning their married life in Alpine, they adventured to Austin, Arizona, and Alaska, hitting many "A" locations before returning to the original "A" (Alpine) in 1994, where they raised their daughter, Jessica. He was a well-known home builder in the area, recognized for his knowledge, skill, and craftsmanship.
Wes was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Jack H. Roach, Jr., and Dan A. Roach. He is survived by his wife, Patty, daughter Jessica and her husband Troy, and granddaughter Hailey. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law Marsha and Rose Roach; brothers-in-law Dan (Alexadra) and Steven (Joy) Bennack; nephews Chris, Sean, Daniel and Allen Roach, Jeremiah and Aaron Bennack and their families; as well his uncle George Newman and numerous cousins.
