Raul W. Ramos, 77 of Alpine, Texas entered eternal life on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at Big Bend Regional Medical Center with his beloved family by his side.
Raul was born on November 10, 1944, in Terlingua, Texas to Juan C. Ramos and Jesusita (White) Ramos. Raul later met and married the love of his life Sylvia (Molinar) Ramos. Raul worked for 32 years at Sul Ross State University as a ranch hand for the Range Animal Science Department.
Praying of the Most Holy Rosary will be held on Sunday, December 19, 2021, at 7:00 pm at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 20, 2021, at 10:00 am with Father Pablo Matta serving as celebrant. Burial will follow at Holy Angles Cemetery.
Those serving as pallbearers will be Freddy Hernandez, Raul Hernandez, Jesse Vega, Joshua Vega, George Anthony Sanchez, Jason Llanez, Julian Molinar and Gerardo Sanchez. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Izaak Lujan, Iden Lujan and Michael Rodriguez.
Raul was a godly man. He loved spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed having “Family Day” on Sundays. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends, especially on his front porch. He enjoyed watching the Andy Griffith show. As well as driving throughout town with his beloved wife Sylvia.
Those preceding Raul in death are his parents; his son Raul Ramos, Jr and his three brothers Lionel Ramos, Alvaro Ramos and Ervay Ramos.
Those left to honor and cherish the life of Raul is his beloved wife of 55 years Sylvia Ramos; one son Tommy Ramos; three daughters Vicky Vega, JoAnna Ramos and Monica Llanez; grandchildren Jason Llanez, Crystal Lujan, Freddy Hernandez, Stephanie Llanez, Crystal Martinez, Raul Hernandez, Jesse Vega, Melissa Martin, Joshua Vega, George Anthony Sanchez; 16 great grandchildren; three sisters Florinda Ramos, Elva Rodriguez and Celia Vasquez as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many beloved friends.
