Mark Pollock

Mark Thomas Pollock, 64, of Alpine, passed away at his residence, on Friday, November 13, 2015.

A Celebration of Life will be held in his memory at 3:00 p.m. at the Granada Theatre at 207 E. Holland Ave. Alpine, Texas on Sunday, November 29, 2015.

Mark was born in Springfield, Missouri on November 1, 1951. He was the son of the late John and Joy Pollock.
Mark had a carefree warm attitude toward everyone he met. His shop, Transpecos Guitars was legendary to both locals and famous travelers to this area. A myriad of people from around the world have special stories of meeting their friend Mark Pollock. All speak of a genuine warmth and fairness, a commodity so rare in the music business. The stars shine a little less bright tonight. Even the Marfa Lights shine blue tonight. A great one has gone, but his spirit lives on.
