Maria Ramos

Maria Isabel Ramos, 70, of Alpine, passed away Monday, October 12, 2015 at Big Bend regional Medical Center.

Rosary service will be recited at 10 a.m., followed by Mass of the Resurrection on Friday, October 16, 2015 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church and burial will be at holy Angels cemetery. Fr. Robert S. Kobe and Fr. Antonio Martinez will officiate. Alpine Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Ramos was born in Alpine, Texas on November 2, 1944 to Leonardo and Lorenza Pando. She had worked for the Alpine Independent School District as a teacher for many years.

She is survived by her husband Frank Ramos of Alpine, daughters; Lisa Hernandez (Jerry) of Odessa, Texas, Lydia Ochoa (Alex) of El Paso, Texas, Frances Vasquez (Cris) of San Antonio, Texas, son; Lito Ramos of Fort Davis, Texas, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
