Hortencia Hendrix

Hortencia Juarez Hendrix passed quietly from this Earth on July 27, 2017, to join her beloved husband, Joe, in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Until forced by age and illness to live with her children, Hortencia made her home for nearly eight decades in Presidio. She was a business owner, a valued member of the community, and a source of strength and hope to her many friends and associates. She will be remembered for her courage, resilience and sense of humor.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe, her parents, Tobias and Albina Juarez, her brothers Hilardo "Lalo", Manual, Tobias Jr., and her sisters, Celia and Hilda. She is survived by her daughter Delma and her husband Tommy, her two sons Joe, Jr. and his wife Cyndi; and, Fred and his wife Patty, and her four grandchildren, Kassandra Hendrix, Todd Kelley, Joey Hendrix and Grace Hendrix.




Rosary will be held at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Presidio on Monday, July 31, at 10.a.m, followed by mass at 10:30, and internment at Desert Hills Cemetery.
