Guadalupe Montezuma

Guadalupe Z. Montezuma, 78, longtime resident of Marfa, Texas, passed away at his residence on Nov. 27, 2017.
Rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 1, 2017, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marfa, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church by Fr. John Paul Madanu also on Dec. 1. Military graveside service will follow at the Merced Cemetery.
Mr. Montezuma was born in San Antonio, Texas, on Dec. 12, 1938, to Amadeo F. Montezuma and Pauline Zepeda Montezuma. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He had worked with Morrison True Value Hardware in Alpine, Texas. He had also worked in Marfa at the Safeway grocery store for many years.
He is survived by his wife Ortencia Montezuma of Marfa, his daughter Mona Lisa M. (John J.) Jimenez of Alpine, and his son, Edward G. Montezuma. He also leaves behind two grandchildren, John Gerrardo Jimenez, IV and Angel Dario Lujan
