Frankie Cash

Frankie Louise Cash, 80, of Sanderson, went to be with the Lord December 1, 2013.

She was born to the late Jessie and Addie Shelander, April 10, 1933, in Rockdale, Texas. Frankie graduated from Rockdale High School in 1950. In 1951 she married the late Charles Cash, and they lived together in Sanderson, Texas for 55 years.

Frankie worked for Terrell County ISD as secretary to the office of superintendent for 35 years. Mrs. Cash was devoted to her job and students of Terrell County ISD. She was always proud of her Sanderson Eagles. Upon retirement, the administration building was renamed in her honor.

Frankie was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Sanderson. She loved to read, work in the garden, paint, crochet, sing hymns, spend time in Gods Word, and visit with friends and family.

Frankie is survived by two sisters: Gladys Cash of San Angelo and Mary Nell Naumann of Austin. She is also survived by two children: Mitzi and her husband Alan Higginbotham of Humble, and Jim Cash and his wife Leila of Sanderson, six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

A viewing will be held at 10 a.m. and the funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Sanderson on Friday, December 6, 2013. The burial will be held immediately after the service at Cedar Grove Cemetery. Alpine Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
