Eliseo Briseno

Eliseo Santiago Briseno, 83, of Marathon, Texas passed away at his residence Monday, January 20, 2014.

Rosary will be recited Friday, January 24, 2014 at 7 p.m. at St. Marys Catholic Church in Marathon. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 25, 2014 at St. Marys. Military graveside service will follow at the Marathon cemetery. Alpine Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Briseno was born in Marathon, Texas on December 2, 1930 to Domingo and Rosa Briseno. He was an Army veteran. He was retired from the Texas Department of Highway. He and his wife were helpful with the American Cancer Society Relay for Life for many years.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Mary Jane.

He is survived by his wife Mary Martinez Briseno, his brothers Fidel Briseno, Jesus Briceno and sister Maria Dutchover. He is also survived by his step children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews and his devoted companion, Choco, his dog.
