Dortothy May Surber, 74, of Marfa, passed away at her residence on Monday, March 10, 2014.
Graveside service will be held Friday, March 14, at 10:00 a.m. at the Marfa cemetery. Alpine Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Surber was born in Wharton, Texas on December 13, 1939. She had worked as a school secretary for the Marfa Independent School District for many years.
She is survived by her husband Herbert L. Surber of Marfa, two daughters Robbin Surbur Marquez of Marfa, Lauren Taqui of Dallas, two grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
