David "Cougar" Dominguez, Jr. 65, resident of Marfa, Texas, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at Odessa, Medical Center after a brief and valiant battle with cancer.
Rosary service and Mass of Christian Burial were held Friday, September 20, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Alpine, Texas. Graveside service followed at the Holy Angels cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were: Michael Espinosa, Jesse Villa, Pio Molinar, Fernando Dominguez, Richard Covarrubias and Adam Mediano.
David was born November 16, 1953 in Alpine, Texas to David Dominguez, Sr. and Elisa Jimenez Dominguez. He was employed with Big Bend Sentinel as a newspaper distribution person for many years and he was also a self-employed carpenter.
He is survived by his spouse, Mary Acosta Jimenez of Marfa, three sisters, Delma Dominguez, Cynthia Vasquez and Rebecca Gardea, all of Odessa, Texas. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews as well as extended family members and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Bobby Dominguez and Michael Dominguez.
