David Covarrubias

David "Bidi" Apodaca Covarrubias, 58 of Marfa, Texas, passed away on Friday, September 1, 2017 in Odessa following a courageous battle with cancer.
David was born on November 18, 1958 in Ysleta, Texas to Jose Covarrubias and Ignacia Apodaca Covarrubias. David attended Marfa High School, and worked as a seismograph technician.

Rosary will be recited on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated following rosary with Father John Paul Madanu serving as celebrate, with burial following at La Merced Cemetery.
Those honoring David by serving as pallbearers are: Marco Flores, Richard Covarrubias, Vidal Acosta, Jerram Rojo, John, Christopher Jaramillo, and Fidel Vasquez, Jr. Special friends of David that are serving as honorary pallbearers are: Eliberto Franco, Sr., Homer Flores, and Sammy Acosta.
David had a larger than life personality that was loved by all of his friends, and family. David also enjoyed the delicious home cooked meals that his sisters would prepare for him, as well as David's mornings would be spent with his friends enjoying breakfast with them and enjoying drinking coffee at Strips with his friends.
Preceding David in death are: his father Jose Covarrubias, mother Ignacia Covarrubias, and his brother Richard Covarrubias, Sr.
Those left to cherish and honor the memory David is his daughter, Amy Jaramillo, and husband John of Midland, Texas; his sisters, Leonor Franco of Marfa, Texas, Elida Castillo, and Lourdes Flores of Odessa, Texas; brothers, Joe Covarrubias, Jr. of Alpine, Texas, Alfredo Covarrubias of Fort Stockton, Texas, and Tony Covarrubias of Marfa, Texas. Two grandchildren; Christopher Jaramillo, and Isabe Jaramillo of Midland, Texas.
David is also survived by his companion Josie Aguliar, her daughters, and grandchildren, that he loved very much and considered his own.
