Carmen Mungaray Rodriguez

Guymon, Oklahoma

Carmen Cristina Mungaray Rodriguez, 29, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt and mother of Guymon, Oklahoma tragically passed away on June 21st, 2022 in Presidio County, Texas.

Carmen was born in Sain Alto, Zacatecas, Mexico to Lucio Mungaray and Maria del Socorro Rodriguez and was the light of their world as they were to her.  Carmen was recently happily engaged to Daniel Chavarria Esparza. Carmen was a proud and devoted single mother to her daughter Daylin Mungaray, who she loved and cherished with all her heart.  Carmen was very close to all her family and friends and always looked forward to spending quality time with all of them. She also looked forward to spending time in her hometown El Sauz in Zacatecas, Mexico to spend time with all her aunts, uncles, and cousins. Carmen went to school in Guymon Schools and worked for Seaboard Foods where she met her fiancée.

Carmen is preceded in death by her beloved niece Yarislani Castrejon Mungaray who also tragically passed on the same day, together they will resume their special bond in heaven.  Her maternal grandparents Emilio Rodriguez and Cristina Mendoza and her paternal grandparents Petronilo Gallegos and Josefina Sierra.

Carmen is survived by her parents Lucio and Socorro Mungaray. Her fiancee Daniel Chavarria Esparza.  Her beloved daughter Daylin Mungaray. Her two sisters Mayra Mungaray and partner Gerardo, and Aurora Mungaray both of Guymon, Oklahoma. Her three brothers Oscar Mungaray and wife Flor, Cesar Mungaray and wife Raquel, and Fidel Mungaray and wife Diana of Guymon, Oklahoma. As well as her cherished nieces and nephews: Adan, Valeria, Dayana, Oscar, Yadelin, Ivette, Emily, Samuel, Yahali, Karyme, Fidel.


Services were entrusted to Alpine Memorial Funeral Home in Alpine, Texas.
