Jeremy Tucker

February 14, 1985 — September 5, 2019

Alpine, Texas

Jeremy Tucker, 34, a lifelong resident of Alpine, Texas, passed in Peace on Thursday, September 5th. 2019 in Clovis, New Mexico, was welcomed home by our Heavenly Father.

Praying of the Most Holy Rosary will be held on Saturday, September 21st, 2019 at 9:30 am at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church.  Mass will follow the praying of the Most Holy Rosary, with Father Beto Lopez serving as Funeral Celebrant.

Jeremy was born on Thursday, February 14th, 1985 to Baine Tucker and Pam (Moran) Tucker.  Jeremy grew up in Alpine and was a graduate of the Class of 2003.

Upon graduation, Jeremy moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico where he lived and worked for Interstate Synthetic Turf Installation Corporation.  Jeremy was very passionate about his work and enjoyed the traveling and seeing new places.  Jeremy was so very proud of this job, that he was able to be “construction superintendent” for the laying of the turf for the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium. Being a true diehard Dallas Cowboys fan, this was a dream come true to have a small part of “Americas Team.”

Jeremy moved back to Alpine, in which he met the love of his life Lakin.  They had been married for 3 ½ years.  Jeremy was a devoted husband and father to his two sons Brazos and Rhine.  He was most recently employed as an apprentice lineman with Higher Power Electrical Company.

Jeremy enjoyed many pastimes including playing basketball, with his hometown friends, watching the Dallas Cowboys, watching movies with his family, and every activity one could think of with his two boys.  He enjoyed playing and coaching softball with his wife as well as creating art and tattoos with Lakin, which was encouragement at its finest for her.

Jeremy enjoyed cooking “homemade backyard wok Chinese food” with his father Baine.  As well as listening to country music, 50’s and 60’s music.   He was a master of making special sauces for family and friends.

From his beloved wife; “Getting to know Jeremy the real Jeremy was a beautiful whirlwind of excitement.  The absolute joys of the man stemmed from pure compassion.  He never wanted anything more than a family and he was blessed with two amazing boys to help that dream come true.  His encouragement towards everyone he encountered is something that will never be forgotten.  As he often said to his wife and kids “you can do anything, and I will help get you there.”  His heart was full of love and his soul full of ambition.  That intriguing mind of his was filled to the brim with every undeniably clever epigram you could imagine.  Jeremy was a dream come true to his wife and kids.  His approachable views on the very short life he lived will always be admired by many.  Thank you, Jeremy Tucker, for giving this world 34 years of your exquisite presence.”  Love always, Lakin.

Jeremy is preceded in death by his mother Pam Moran Tucker and his grandmother Evelyn Swihart Moran.

Those left to cherish and honor the life of Jeremy is his wife Lakin (Pitts) Tucker of Alpine, his son’s Brazos Tucker and Rhine Tucker both of Alpine.  His beloved father Baine Tucker and stepmother Barbara of Alpine; his sister’s Sydney Tucker of Boca Raton, Florida, Shelby Costabile of San Angelo, Texas and Ann Costabile of Alpine, Texas; one brother Joseph Tucker of Alpine; his nephew Corey Wilson of Boca Raton, Florida; grandparents Travis and Joslyn Tucker of Alpine and Paul Moran of Albuquerque, New Mexico; as well as many more loved relatives and his much beloved friends.
